Make This: Twin Pops Quilted Pillow

It’s our turn for the Best of Moda Bake Shop Pillow Parade! (affiliate link) Each of the designers from the book is taking a turn sharing a bonus pillow to coordinate with their quilt.

A quick little housekeeping note to start, though. The supply list in the book for our Twin Pops Quilt needs a little updating. You can see the corrections below.

We’ve now learned a valuable lesson on triple-checking book manuscripts to make sure all of our instructions were entered properly. The gray notation really only matters if you are using the same fabrics as us, otherwise you’d just use 4 strips for the sticks.

Anyway, onto the pillow! You’ll need the book to make three popsicle blocks. We’re just showing you how to set them to make this 20″ square pillow cover. We had enough leftover Speckled fabric from the quilt to make ours match!

You can click on the photo below to print, or the link below the photo will download a PDF.

For the different pillow finishing options you can check out the following tutorials:

Summer Cabin Pillow Tutorial (foldover back)

Pumpkin Pillow Tutorial (foldover back with binding)

Fat Quarter Pillow Tutorial (zippered closure)

We chose a zippered closure for ours, but it did get a little tricky with the quilting, so keep that in mind if you’re not crazy about zippers.

How cute is that? We did some fun straight line quilting with a walking foot in different directions for the quilting, but you could really do anything with this one. We also picked some cute balloon animals for the backing that are fun surprise.

Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to our winner, Susan L.!

GIVEAWAY: We do still have some more books to giveaway, so leave us a comment below if you’d like to win! Just tell us your favorite precut to enter.

Due to shipping costs, we can only send this one within the US. We’ll pick a winner next week!
