Free Quilt Pattern: GO! Union

The Go! Union quilt is a free quilt pattern from AccuQuilt. This four eagle quilt is an adaptation of a pattern that appears again and again in quilts from about 1850 to 1910. This quilt project is also known as the Union Quilt. The arrangement of four block Eagles with twigs and cherries on their mouth (or are those olive branches?) indicates a strong political position. In 1929 This patriotic pattern was called by Ruth Finley a quilt historian “Union” in her classic book.

This wall-hanging patriotic quilt brings inspiration and history and will be admired by whoever sees it.

Finished Quilt Measures: 48 inches x 48 inches
