An awesome quilt block to work on over the weekend. September Leaf block is designed by Cheryl Phillips of Phillips Fiber Art . Using your 12-degree wedge tool, cut the fabrics to prepare sewing. This quilt block can transform into two design options.
The First option, join the wedges to create leaf units. After sewing together the five (5) Leaf Units, create a circle freezer paper applique over the center opening to create the September Leaf.
The second option is by joining together six (6) leaf units to form a circle you will be able to create a flower. Doesn’t it look like a poinsettia? A perfect quilt block for the yuletide season.
